Gather these now โ you'll need them whichever route this ends up taking.
If you have one โ the strongest single proof of your exit date.
From that employer, as corroborating proof.
Showing the current blank/incorrect DOE.
If applicable โ news, MCA records, or similar, to support your declaration.
Follow this in order โ skipping ahead usually costs more time, not less.
Relieving letter is strongest; final payslips and appointment letter for the next job also help build the case.
A brief written request costs nothing โ some 'unresponsive' employers simply need a direct ask.
This lets your current employer co-sign a declaration of your prior employment dates, submitted to the regional office.
Submit your own declaration along with all supporting documents directly to the regional PF office.
This route typically takes longer than a direct employer correction โ follow up if there's no movement in a few weeks.
