Follow this in order — skipping ahead usually costs more time, not less.
Compare it precisely against your appointment letter — note the exact discrepancy (day, month, or year).
DOJ corrections are made by the employer whose record is wrong, via the UAN portal.
This lets you and a current employer (or self-declaration with evidence) push the correction through.
This is the strongest evidence EPFO and employers accept for a DOJ correction.
