This is usually not a freeze at all โ it's your UAN still pointing to an old mobile number you no longer have access to. The fix is updating your registered mobile number through the correct verified route, not repeatedly requesting OTPs.

Check via the UAN portal's 'forgot password'/OTP screen โ it will indicate where the OTP is being sent.
If your Aadhaar has your current number linked, the UAN portal can often verify and update directly.
Through UIDAI's official channels โ this is usually the fastest unlock since EPFO's KYC increasingly relies on Aadhaar verification.
Call 14470 or raise a grievance on EPFiGMS explaining the number mismatch.
