Accepted by Field Office
Where it appears: The status of an online PF transfer request on the EPFO member portal.
- What it means
- The EPFO office has accepted your transfer claim. It isn't finished until the amount shows in your new Member ID.
- The fix
- Check both passbooks. If the money hasn't arrived long after this status, raise a grievance with the transfer claim ID.
- Get help when
- The amount has left the old account but hasn't reached the new one, or the service history is missing.
I never ask for your OTP, UAN password or bank login.
What it means
This status says the EPFO field office has accepted your transfer claim. Members often read it as "done", but the transfer is complete only when the old Member ID shows the transfer out and the new Member ID shows the amount (and your service) coming in.
Why it happens
- The processing between the two accounts hasn't finished.
- The money moved but the credit hasn't shown up in the new passbook yet.
What you can do yourself (free, on the EPFO portal)
Everything in this list is done on EPFO's own portal or with your employer, and none of it needs a paid agent. I never ask for your OTP, UAN password or bank login, and nobody else should either.
- Check the passbook for the old Member ID: has the balance moved out?
- Check the passbook for the new Member ID: has it arrived?
- If it's well past the 20 days EPFO's FAQ gives for settling claims, file a grievance on EPFiGMS quoting the transfer claim ID and what each passbook shows.
When it needs help
- The money left the old account but hasn't reached the new one.
- The transfer finished but your pension (EPS) service is missing.
- Grievances keep being closed without the transfer completing.
